Spending Time In Cartagena
Cartagena Colombia has endeared itself to many people over the past few years however it still remains a place that isn’t as well known as it should be. Sitting on the north coast of the country, the city has started to become a magnet for holidaymakers from all over the globe and this is down to several reasons.
The climate and the weather is something that appeals to many people as the temperature remains almost constantly in the low to mid 80‘s and even during the winter months you get a very warm climate; however for people who are not altogether suited to this there is also a nice cool breeze that comes from the city being so close to the ocean so these two things work together to make very hospitable weather. A beach holiday is just one of the reasons that people come to Cartagena and there are many public and private beaches in the area where you can soak up the sun; in fact, you can snorkel or scuba dive as well and there is plenty of activity in and around the beaches themselves. For those who love natural beauty then you should definitely check out the coral reef and there are many guided tours that can help it become much more educational as well as aesthetic.
Indeed, the old city is just as beautiful and much of the original colonial architecture is there to see as well as the winding streets too and it is easy to spend hours just admiring the surroundings and there are many museum’s in the city as well that give you a great insight into the history and culture of the city and the region too meaning that Cartagena is suited for both relaxing beach holidays and to soak up a different culture as well.
