Cold Call the People Who Take Chances
Precious few marketers love to make the cold call and for the rest of us, this can be an experience that we do not look forward to at all. The fact is, when we are having to decide how we want to handle cold calls, especially in a phone sales environment, it can be tough because we are naturally set against even having to do it in the first place. If you work for a company that wants you to make cold calls for them then see if you can get your own list. Most places don’t check your list so you can smuggle in a brand new batch of sweepstakes or lottery leads and work these over the phones. This is going to give you a much higher level of sales than your co-workers because these leads are very high performing and extremely likely to give you a really excellent chance of success. If you take the time to consider the value of these leads then you can see they will perform much better than any you are given by some random company generated list of purchased leads that may or may not be hot performers on their own.
Hot performers are what you need for cold calls so make sure that you do some work to get leads that will give you back something for your efforts. There are few things more frustrating than finding out you have put energy into a task that won’t pay you back so make sure that you check out what these types of leads can offer in terms of high return for investment.
