What is the best way to choose the car park where you can leave your vehicle when you go on holiday? Parking at Gatwick is relatively easy and there are many places in and around the airport where you can leave your car for a set number of days or weeks however it all depends on the kind of service that you are looking for.

If you are only going on a day trip and are expected back either later that day or the next then a short term parking option will be best for you as it will be easier to locate your car in a quicker time however anything over one day should be parked in the long term allotment as this offers the best value for money by far. A daily rate and a weekly rate are generally the same however with the weekly rate you only pay it once for the entire week while, in the short term car park, you need to pay the daily rate every day. A valet service may also be a good idea. This means that you do not have to go to the actual car park – which may be a few miles outside the airport itself – instead you take it to the valet spot and they then book it in and drive it to the car park and then pick you up when your flight arrives back; saving you a lot of effort and extra travelling.

Before you choose one though you should have a look online at what kind of security they offer as your vehicle will be left there for a week or more in the long stay ones. Most have 24 CCTV and guard stations and they are usually very well lit to so your vehicle is likely to be very safe.
